International Trips
The Canada and World Studies Department has run numerous successful international trips over the past 10 years, travelling throughout Europe and to Costa Rica. Our last trip in 2017 was an amazing experience, with 60 students attending the 100th anniversary of Vimy Ridge!! Read the highlights of this trip below or check the past trips tab to read about others.
Our next trip is March 2019 where we will travel to Europe to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Normandy Invasion at Juno Beach. We are excited to bring 72 students to Northern France, Belgium, and London to pay tribute to Canada's history and explore new cultures.

Vimy 100: Apr 5-15, 2017Students headed to Europe to commemorate and celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge! Our adventure began in Amsterdam where we took in the the city of the bicycle. We also ventured out to small Dutch villages to take in local culture. We then headed through beautiful Belgium to Northern France where we attended the official ceremonies for Vimy 100. From here, we headed to England, taking the ferry across the channel, and stopping at Dover Castle. Our time in London allowed us to see all the major sites: Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, Piccadilly Circus, and even a West-end show and a soccer stadium tour!
